Administration Support |
Purpose |
The Admin Support menu panel options allow users to view comprehensive information tables related to vaccines and vaccine relationships. The information is intended as a resource to navigate manufacturers, vaccines, CPT codes, and trade names.
Manufacturer Listing |
This screen lists the Manufacturers of Vaccines (MVX) codes defined by the CDC's National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases (NCIRD). The NCIRD maintains the external MVX code set used for HL7 immunization data exchange.
The table includes the ID #, manufacturer (MVX) code, manufacturer name, and the Active/Inactive status indicating whether the manufacturer is currently making vaccine for distribution in the United States. The list is sorted first by status, and then alphabetically.
Trade Name Listing |
This screen lists each unique identifying name for vaccines given by a manufacturer. It is also known as the brand name or product name. The table includes the ID #, product or trade name, trademark name (if applicable), and vaccine name. The list is sorted alphabetically by trade name.
Vaccine Group Listing |
This
screen lists the vaccine group codes used to define each collection of
vaccines that prevents a particular disease. In most cases, the
group code name represents one disease (Hepatitis B). But in some cases,
the group code name represents more than one disease that are thought
of as a unit, such as MMR (Measles, Mumps, and Rubella) and DTaP or Td/Tdap
(Diphtheria, Tetanus, and acellular Pertussis).
The table includes the ID #, vaccine group name, display name, group code,
and default vaccine name. The list is sorted alphabetically by name.
Vaccine Listing |
This
screen lists the specific formulations of immunization vaccine. An
immunization record stored in the ImmTrac2 registry will always have a
vaccine name. In addition, the immunization may have other optional
identifiers.
The table includes the ID #, vaccine name, administered body route, administered body site, Vaccine Information Statement (VIS) edition date, Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) code, and CVX (vaccine administered) code.
Vaccine Relationship |
This screen displays similar vaccines listed under the same name and group code. The table includes the ID # and name, CPT code, CVX code, and trade name of vaccines with a relationship to the vaccine group. The lists are numerically sorted by Group ID and then alphabetically by vaccine name.
Note
ImmTrac2 is set up to accommodate a variety of user types. Each user will have access to certain features in the application based on the role that is assigned. Online help reflects the capabilities available to provider user roles. Other user roles should refer to the user manual for more access features and capability details.
