Vitals Exchange |
Purpose |
The Vitals Load process is another Data Exchange process for receipt of birth and adoption records from the state’s Vital Records Office. The vitals file contains fixed length formatted fields in a different format from the Flat file loads. The system imports client data formatted with the Consented Births Import format from a flat file on a local server using the Consented Births Importing Rules to create a client record in the Immunization Component. The system imports clients-to-be-deleted data formatted with the Deaths from BVS Import format from a flat file on a local server to delete clients in the Immunization Component using the Deaths from VSU Rules.

The Vitals Load process is another Data Exchange process for receipt of birth and adoption records from the state’s Vital Records Office. The vitals file contains fixed length formatted fields in a different format from the Flat file loads. Vitals information is passed to the central system using one Vital file described in the table below.

Job Name |
Enter the Job Name of the Data Exchange job that is being submitted to the system. If not specified today's date will be used. |
Type of Transmission drop down menu |
Drop down menu that selects whether the Data Exchange job being run is a test file or an actual production file being submitted. |
Vital File drop down menu |
Vital File Name drop down menu is a required field. Displays Birth and Death as an option for Vitals loads. |
Vital File Name |
Vital File Name is a required field. Enter the file path for the Vitals File on the user's computer. |
