Manage Clinicians Screen |
Purpose |
The Manage Clinicians screen displays clinicians associated with the organization. These clinicians appear in the Administered By drop down menus during the Add Immunization process. Users with a Provider Supervisor role can edit certain Clinician Information.
Information Provided |
The Manage Clinicians screen displays all Clinicians and their designated roles. Clinicians are listed alphabetically by last name. Clicking a name opens the Clinician Information screen.

Edit Clinician Information Screen |
Edit Clinician Information Section - This section contains the information fields to identify clinicians in the organization. Details are described below.
A Role is designated for each clinician by clicking the radio button for the applicable role. (Role is a required field.) Roles that can be associated with the clinicians are:
Clinician: An individual who is legally authorized to administer a vaccine to a client. When designated, the names will be available for selection in the 'Administered By' drop-down option fields for entering immunizations.
Prescribing Authority: An individual who is licensed by the state of Texas to order the prescribing of vaccines to a client.
Prescribing Authority/Clinician: An individual who serves as both the administering clinician and ordering authority. When designated, the names will be available for selection in the 'Administered By' drop-down option fields for entering immunizations.
The Clinician identifying information displays below the role designation. The fields are described in the table below.

License Type |
Credentials and description of the professional license type. |
License Number |
Required. Unique assigned license number for the designated professional credential. **NOTE: System validates the entry against acceptable format for license type. |
NPI |
Required. Clinician's NPI number. **NOTE: System validates the entry against acceptable format. |
Medicaid Number |
Clinician's Medicaid number. **NOTE: System validates the entry against acceptable format. |
Provider Activity Status |
Clinician's activity status. |

Find Clinician Screen |
Clinician Search Section- This section contains fields to search for a clinician associated with the organization. The search fields are described below.

Searches clinicians whose last name is or starts with the criteria that is entered. |
First Name |
Searches clinicians whose first name is or starts with the criteria that is entered. |
Note: It is not required to enter criteria in the search fields. To get a list of all the clinicians associated with the organization, leave the search fields blank and click Find.
Clinician Search Results Table - This table lists all the clinicians that match the criteria entered, or all the clinicians associated with the organization if the search fields were left blank.

Clinician Listing Screen |
Clinician Listing Table- This table displays the organization's clinicians and designated roles for all records with an activity status of Active. The activity status is designated on the Clinician Information screen.

This screen allows the user to combine clinicians. Select at least two clinicians from the Find Clinicians search results table and click Merge.
Merge Clinician Table - Displays clinician information in order to select the clinician that will be kept when the records are merged.
